Aujourd'hui : Elyse Dagesse & Gerardo Sanchez Gerardo Sanchez a complété une formation en théâtre qui l’a conduit vers une carrière de metteur en scène. Le théâtre l’a naturellement mené vers le tango et la fondation de la Compagnie, puis de l’École de danse Tango Libre. Il a également collaboré à certains projets du Cirque du Soleil en tant que chorégraphe (Corteo, Michael Jackson). Elyse Dagesse découvre le tango en 2007 auprès de Gerardo Sanchez et se dédie entièrement à cette nouvelle passion. Elle enseigne et participe à de nombreuses démonstrations et spectacles pour promouvoir le tango argentin. Elle a partagé la scène avec Jorge Firpo lors de la 8e édition du FITM (2010). Gerardo Sanchez et Elyse Dagesse sont professeurs à l’École de danse Tango Libre et dirigent la compagnie de danse du même nom, en plus de former les nouveaux professeurs de l’école. Today : Elyse Dagesse & Gerardo Sanchez Gerardo Sanchez studied theater and completed a master degree in dramatics, which led him to a directing career then, in turn, to tango. He founded the Tango Libre dance company and the Tango Libre dance school. He also worked with the internationaly acclaimed Cirque du Soleil (Corteo, Michael Jackson). Elyse Dagesse has been involved in tango since 2007, under the guidance of Gerardo Sanchez, and is now dedicated to her passion for dancing. She teaches at Tango Libre and participates to numerous shows and exhibitions. She also has had a hand in the organization of many events for the Montreal tango community: Festival International de Tango de Montréal (2009-2014), Rallye de Tango de Montréal (2011-2013) and Écoles en fête (2012). Both Gerardo and Elyse, as professors of Tango Libre, are responsible for the training of new teachers. Together, they run the Tango Libre dance company and they have participated in various tango shows and performances.
